Jackson Purchase Medical Center is a 107-bed (all private), Joint Commission-accredited facility. The hospital is the sole provider of acute care in Graves County and draws patients from the eight counties of the Jackson Purchase (the section of land between the Tennessee and Mississippi River that President Andrew Jackson purchased from the Chickasaw Indians in the early 1800s).
GI. Jackson Purchase Medical Center is proud to be the only hospital in the region performing endoscopic ultrasounds. This non-invasive procedure is primarily used to detect pancreatic, esophageal and gastric cancers, as well as benign tumors of the upper gastro-intestinal tract. Our GI physicians also perform colonoscopies.
