Iona College is mandated to comply with New York State Department of Health Public Health Laws regarding immunizations requirements for attendance at post-secondary institution.
At Iona, we live by a fundamental credo that “Gaels Take Care of Gaels.” Everyone living, learning or working on campus knows this was especially true through the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, as we embrace the “new normal,” we must remain vigilant.
Iona strongly encourages all students, faculty and staff to be vaccinated. Iona also strongly recommends that anyone who is eligible to receive the booster get it for continued protection against COVID-19.
All resident students, regardless of vaccination status, are required to take a COVID-19 test at the Arrigoni Center prior to moving into the residence halls.
Masks are required inside ALL buildings on campus by ALL individuals regardless of vaccination status. Iona has zero tolerance for non-adherence to the indoor mask mandate and there will be consequences for students and employees who do not adhere to the mask mandate.
Please note that students are encouraged to isolate or quarantine at home if possible. Students are responsible for all expenses if they cannot isolate or quarantine at home.
The same policies and procedures will remain in place for the spring semester as were established during the fall semester.
All classes will be conducted in person with the exception of courses already designated as Distance Learning (DL).
