Blue Ridge Medical Group offers a free online patient portal that allows you to access information about the care you’ve received at this practice, and to communicate with your doctor/healthcare provider. The portal is secure and private; all information is sent via an encrypted connection.

Does Island Family Medicine have outside labs?

Yes, our office is contracted and staffed by Pathgroup that will complete outside lab orders from other providers. Your provider will receive the results from Pathgroup. Outside labs orders do not come back to Island Family medicine.

Is wellness physical covered by insurance?

A wellness physical is typically covered at 100% by your insurance company and has specific guidelines set forth by your insurance company to be covered at this visit. Preventative care such as immunizations and annual screenings including required labs, will be discussed.

Does the Federal Motor Carrier cover DOT physicals?

Yes, Dr. J. Seaborn Blair III is approved by the Federal Motor Carrier to perform DOT physicals. Please note that most insurance companies do not cover this type of physical exam and you will be responsible for payment at the time of services.
