Where can I find midwifery services in Melbourne?

Hibiscus Women's Center is accepting new patients for both gynecology and obstetrics. If you recently moved to Brevard County, your current provider no longer sees patients, or need to establish we are here to help. With three physicians and six midwives we are a unique group of all woman providers. We are open Monday-Thursday 8am to 5pm and 8am to noon on Friday.

What is a midwife?

Midwifery services are a type of service that is offered to women that are expecting babies. This type of service is offered through a woman that is easily able to connect with the pregnant woman, a connection and natural remedies are able to provide a smooth, relaxing childbirth experience.

Dr. Perry has been Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2005 and she’s been providing excellent care as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist since 2003.

Originally from Miami, Dr. Escobar graduated from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine where she was inducted as a member of the Barnes & Behnke Chapter of Gold Humanism Honor Society, received the Robert G.

Sara Elhusein D.O., FACOG

Dr. Sara Elhusein is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Originally from Michigan, Dr. Elhusein graduated with honors from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008. She completed her residency at Mclaren Macomb Hospital in 2012 where she was chief resident.

Shannon Ingwersen, MD, FACOG

Dr. Shannon Ingwersen is a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Originally from Melbourne, she is excited to be back in her hometown and to join the team at Hibiscus Women’s Center.
