Before your visit – new patients

Please call to schedule an appointment and provide your health insurance information for verification. After you have called, access and submit the Online Patient History Form prior to your visit to expedite your time in our office.

If you were web-enabled during your initial visit, you will have access to your own personal Patient Portal which stores prior visit information, patient education, and allows you to make changes to your personal information in our system. Access information would have been sent to you at your original visit.

With thousands of new skin cancers diagnosed each year, Dr. George thinks it is important to do a full body scan to evaluate your entire skin health. There are countless patients who come in for acne and have a skin cancer diagnosed.

financial information

Your insurance coverage is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Financial responsibility rests with the patient for deductibles, co-insurances and non-covered services. Insurance coverage is a variable and we cannot guarantee what services will be covered by your particular plan.

pathology, labs and x-rays

Surgical specimens are sent to a lab to be analyzed. The fee for this is a separate charge from the office visit and may be billed directly by the processing lab. Results are usually available 7 to 10 days after the test has been performed. Questions regarding payments for laboratory services should be discussed with the lab.

prescription refills

Prescription refill requests will be taken only during regular office hours. Hours of operation are 8am-5pm (M-TH), 8am-12pm (F).

minors visiting the practice

In an effort to meet the rules and standards set forth by HIPAA and the NC Medical Board we require a signed consent from the parents or legal guardian of any minor (anyone < 18 yrs old) who may receive treatments for a diagnosis that is non-life threatening.

Cosmetic Therapy

During a free cosmetic consultation, we will discuss and determine what procedures will work for you. We offer skin care products that complement all of our cosmetic procedures.

Laser Treatments

Many patients are hesitant to try laser treatments, but a unique cooling system makes the procedure tolerable. The ice-cold air soothes the skin during the treatment. When the unwanted hair isn’t growing back and those dark spots are gone, the thoughts of momentary discomfort becomes an afterthought.
