How to prevent infection in hospital?

People in the hospital are more susceptible to infection. To help us prevent the spread of germs and infection, please: 1 Wash your hands. Wash often with soap and water or clean with alcohol-based hand cleaner. Always wash before and after visiting, before and after eating or going to the bathroom and after sneezing, blowing your nose or coughing. 2 Do not visit when you’re sick. If you need to visit while you are sick, wash your hands well and ask the staff for a mask if you have respiratory symptoms. 3 Cooperate with isolation practices. Some patients need isolation—if so, everyone (staff and visitors) may need to wear gloves, a gown and/or a mask. 4 Consult the nurse. Check with the nurse before visiting if you are unsure if you are contagious or if you are bringing children to visit a patient.

What is the ICU call?

Visiting hours may also change at the nurses' discretion. Please call (419) 675-8357 for the visiting hours of the day.

Can a 16 year old go to the ICU?

Children under the age of 16 will not be allowed in the ICU. In certain situations, the nurse may allow a short visit by a young child. This is to protect both the patients and the child from infection and/or injury.

Small community hospital

Small community hospital with poor health plan. When large companies take over lots of things change and not for the good. Not family oriented at all

Family orientated

This is a great place to start your career lots of experience. The patients are a wide variety of backgrounds lots of opportunities to learn new techniques.

good place to work

I was a little disappointing that i was told i would be working days and the day before i started they put me on nights. it was a nice place to work and the staff was pleasant. never seen my supervisor or mgr. i got sick with CHF. so i had to resign at the time.

HMH continues to provide its community with great medical service

I worked 3rd shift full time while attending college. I learned that effort, team work, and striving to provide excellent service, not only made you part of the team, but part of their family. They understood that I needed every dime I could earn, to pay for rent, utilities, tuition, books, etc. and let me work as many hours as I could.

great company

Great place to work. I started out part time then advanced to a fulltime position. The company values their employees as much as they do the patients we serve. I like the fact that the highest of management will take the time to say Hello. The company offers incentives, bonus, and employee dinners.

Nurse assistant

Helped nurses care for patients. First experience in a hospital setting.
