It is especially important to note that you are receiving a statement from Glacial Ridge Health System consisting of Glacial Ridge Hospital, Glenwood Medical Center, Brooten Medical Center, and Starbuck Medical Center.

What newspapers are available at Glacial Ridge?

The West Central Tribune (Willmar) is delivered Monday – Saturday. Alexandria’s twice-weekly newspaper, the Echo Press , is printed on Wednesday and Friday. Other local papers are delivered weekly and include the Pope County Tribune (Glenwood), Starbuck Times, Bonanza Valley Voice (Brooten), Belgrade Observer, and the Herman-Hoffman Tribune. Monthly editions of the Senior Perspective are generally available in all waiting rooms as well. When the weekly newspapers are not being read, they are available to visitors in the hospital waiting room.

What is the information requested during admissions process?

The information requested during the admissions process is vital to our hospital’s medical and legal records. It will be kept in the strictest confidence. Your record will be kept on file electronically and may be of value to you for future reference. We appreciate your cooperation.

Does Glacial Ridge Health System discriminate?

Does Glacial Ridge have a laptop?

Wireless internet access is available in all patient rooms if you have a laptop with a wireless router. Glacial Ridge Health System does not have laptops available for patient or guest use.

Can Glacial Ridge Hospital take valuables?

Valuables. Glacial Ridge Hospital cannot assume responsibility for valuables and personal items kept in the patients’ rooms. It is best to have a visitor take them home for you. If this is not possible, the valuables should be placed in a valuables envelope provided by the hospital and placed in the hospital safe.

Why is this necessary?

The existing patient portal through InteliChart® will no longer be supported by our electronic health records company, so switching to a different company is needed. Plus, the new system will soon provide more opportunities for communication and patient information.

How do you create a new account to transfer your existing patient portal account?

The week of September 14-18, patients who have an existing patient portal through Intelichart™ will receive an email that includes a secure link to launch their new patient portal through MyCareCorner™. The email will come from glacialridgehealthsystempatientportal@cpsi.com.
