Due to the many services provided throughout Southeast Georgia Health System, medical records information is not provided via the patient portal for patients 12 to 17 years of age. Medical records for these patients are available through the Medical Records department on the Brunswick or Camden campus.
You will also be offered access to our patient portal during your hospital registration or your next visit to your physician’s office.* You may access your patient portal via the Healthelife app as well; if you are a new user please notify your registration team member or contact Medical Records.
To schedule your next appointment, login to your patient portal account, click the schedule icon, answer a few questions and choose an appointment date and time. Fast and convenient. Must be an established patient (seen within the last 18 months).
Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that commonly affect animals but sometimes affect humans too. They usually attack the upper respiratory tract—nose, sinuses and throat. A coronavirus gets its name from the crown-like spikes on its surface, visible under a microscope (“corona” means crown in Latin).
COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Infected people have had a wide range of symptoms reported – from mild symptoms to severe illness.
Like a cold or the flu, COVID-19 usually spreads from close person-to-person contact—about 6 feet—through large respiratory droplets from coughs or sneezes. Smaller droplets may linger in the air for some time in confined spaces and also spread COVID-19. The virus may also spread when droplets land on surfaces that people touch.
The best way to avoid infection is to avoid exposure. It is always a good idea to keep your guard up and not just against this virus. Here are other simple steps you can take to lower your risk of catching or spreading illness:
Social distancing is a practice to help stop or slow down the spread of a highly contagious disease like COVID-19. It is a way to deliberately increase the physical space between people to help avoid spreading illness, as staying at least 6 feet away from others can help lessen your chance of catching the virus.
Whether you want to check an appointment date and time, see results from a recent test or review discharge instructions, you can get the answers you need on your computer or smart phone. The online patient portal is offered to adults, age 18 and over, and to parents or legal guardians of children up to age 12.
To get started, visit our Medical Records department on the Brunswick or Camden campus or your physician’s office* to validate your identity and provide your email address. You will receive an email invitation with our patient portal link and account set-up instructions.
You may access your patient portal via the Healthelife app as well; if you are a new user please notify your registration team member or contact Medical Records. Also, you may access portions of your Health Record via an Application Processing Interface (API) of your choice.
