What does an intake nurse do?

All admissions and inquiries must go through our intake department. An intake nurse will obtain all the necessary information and then contact the physician on call. The intake nurse will advise the caller of all instructions for admission or provide resources if admission is not necessary.

Therapeutic group programs are offered that target coping skills, motivations and preventive planning. Diagnoses may include: bipolar disorder, personality disorders, depression and anxiety disorders. Patients may also be at an elevated risk for suicidal behavior or self-harm.
