What is an optometrist?

Optometrists provide primary vision care ranging from routine eye care to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of vision changes. Optometrists typically focus on routine eye care. Although at Florida Eye Clinic, our optometrists, based upon their level of training and expertise will treat patients for both routine and medical; and have the great benefit of 12 ophthalmologists to counsel with and refer to within the Florida Eye Clinic Network of physicians.

What is an ophthalmologist?

An ophthalmologist is a specialist who focuses on the treatment of disorders and diseases of the eye. At Florida Eye Clinic our ophthalmologists are fellowship trained in Cornea, Glaucoma, Retina and Neuro-ophthalmology.
