Emory University Student Health Services (EUSHS) provides outpatient care for enrolled Emory students with a valid Emory ID card. International student's spouses, Domestic Partners and unmarried children over 18 years of age are also eligible for primary medical care if they are currently enrolled in the Emory/Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan.
Emory University Student Health Services (EUSHS) is located at 1525 Clifton Road and provides a wide variety of outpatient clinical and health education services designed to meet the needs of Emory students. Registered students with valid Emory ID cards are eligible for care. Student's spouses, Domestic Partners and unmarried children over 18 years of age are only eligible for primary medical care if they are currently enrolled in the Emory/Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan. Please note that the enrolled Emory student must have purchased dependent coverage separately; it is not automatically provided by virtue of the student’s enrollment in the plan. Care for eligible dependents is provided by appointment on a fee-for-service basis.
Emory (Atlanta Campus) students: please contact the Emory Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at 404-727-7450. The referral will be generated internally and will be submitted to the Emory University Student Health Insurance Plan (EUSHIP) electronically.
Oxford College students: please contact the Oxford Counseling and Career Services at 770-784-8394. Off Campus Care for ADD/ADHD. We have attached a list of psychiatrists (MDs) and clinics in the Emory and Atlanta area that will see and treat Emory students with ADHD/ADD.
Emory students are responsible for notifying professors or instructors of absences caused by illness or injury. EUSHS providers do not write medical excuses for missed classes or examinations. Of course, EUSHS healthcare providers can supply the necessary documentation for extended illnesses or injuries, including those necessitating medical withdrawal from classes.
When Emory students need specialty care or hospitalization in Atlanta, usually EUSHS providers refer to Emory Healthcare facilities, where care is provided on a fee-for-service basis (specialist care, emergency services and hospitalization are not covered by Emory tuition).
Students can get confidential HIV and STI testing (chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, herpes, syphilis, genital warts/HPV, and others) by making an appointment with a member of our clinical provider staff (call 404-727-7551 and select option 1 or request an appointment on-line through the Student Patient Portal ). Confidential test results, identified with the patient's name, become a part of the patient's confidential medical record at EUSHS. As is the case with all medical records, these records can only be released with a written consent for records release, except as required by law/court order.
