Such programs using personal technology to collect PI are collectively referred to as “remote monitoring programs.” Certain remote monitoring programs that involve the collection and analysis of patient physiologic data used to develop and manage a treatment plan related to a chronic and/or acute health illness or condition may be billed as medical services by your provider. Participation in any remote monitoring program is voluntary, and you acknowledge that you have the right to withhold or withdraw your consent to participate in such remote monitoring at any time, without affecting your right to future care or treatment at Duke.
