What is the partnership in Philadelphia?

The Partnership Comprehensive Care Practice (the Partnership), an HIV treatment office, enhances the quality of life for people with HIV/AIDS in Philadelphia. The Partnership, which is a collaboration between Drexel and Tower Health, provides comprehensive HIV care to all individuals regardless of their ability to pay. It is the the largest HIV care center in the Philadelphia region and it provides patients with convenient access to needed services.

What is the care together program?

For over 25 years, the Caring Together program has helped women overcome substance abuse and start a new life without drugs and alcohol. Managed by the Department of Psychiatry, the Caring Together program addresses the underlying causes of addiction through a multi-disciplinary approach that helps women return as productive members of the community.

What is healing hurt people?

Healing Hurt People is a hospital-based violence intervention program designed to reduce re-injury and retaliation among youths ages 8 to 30 in Philadelphia.

What is working together for women?

Working Together for Women is special recovery focused treatment program for women who have struggled with alcohol and/or drugs in the past and are now returning to the community.

What is Drexel Student Health Center?

The Drexel Student Health Center offers comprehensive health services to support the academic and social well-being of our students. The Drexel Student Health Center is available to all full-time and part-time students who are enrolled in classes for the current quarter in which services are needed.

Can I fill prescriptions at a pharmacy?

If you have a prescription plan, be sure to show your card prior to filling a prescription. Prescriptions can be filled at most area pharmacies, though some insurance plans may not be accepted by the pharmacy.

What is the number to call Drexel Police?

Call 911 or the Drexel Police at 215.895.2222, and they will direct you to the appropriate sexual assault center for evaluation. Also, please consider calling or visiting the Counseling Center for additional support needs.

Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., please call the Drexel Counseling Center at 215.895.1415. After hours and on weekends, there is an on-call counselor available for emergencies at 215.416.3337.

If you have never been to the Drexel Student Health Center before, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to complete the necessary paperwork. You can also print the forms ahead of time so you can complete them and bring them to your visit.

The Drexel Health Checker is a mobile-based app that allows Drexel community members to confidentially report their symptoms, report or schedule a COVID-19 test, and access key resources to help them stay healthy. To download the Health Checker App, please visit here.

Getting Started

Use of the Drexel Health Checker is required by all members of the Drexel community. Students, faculty and professional staff must use the Drexel Health Checker to report any symptoms of COVID-19. Those who are not vaccinated should check in daily to monitor their health.

Recording a Vaccination

Community members should upload their proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Health Checker to be eligible for on-campus activities in Academic Year 2021-2022 and to be allowed to opt out of weekly testing.
