While under the mentorship of Dr. Rafael Fonseca at Mayo Clinic, I realized that only through research and advancing science will we be able to significantly move the field forward and positively impact the lives of our patients.

My Passion for Healthcare

Growing up I knew that I wanted to be a doctor, but I also knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I started out teaching high school science, which I loved, but realized that being a doctor also meant being a teacher to patients and families. I enjoy developing relationships with my patients and their families and learning from each of them.

My Clinical Focus

Currently I see adolescent and young adult patients who have problems that are often seen in teenagers such as problems with periods and eating disorders. I do a lot of teaching and have resident physicians with me in clinic on many days.
