I met Dr Beckerman when my son had a heart attack at 23 years old, he tirelessly pursued why someone so young had this issue when no clear reasons were apparent. He was wonderful to our family answering questions and helping my son. He treated us with kindness and patience and truly cares!
As I read the reviews on this page I feel Luke I could have written many of them. They’re all roughly the same. Dr Beckerman cares more about being a celebrity than actually treating patients. He salsa stereotypes women who are overweight. It looks like he could have prevented a pacemaker. In me, he could have prevented a heartache.
Dr.Beckerman gives no council, advice or suggestion on how to prevent a second cardiac arrest.I went to see a cardiologist for guidance & education in preventing another cardiac attack. I received none...even after asking. Has he heard of preventive patient education? Clearly, he did not care.
Seems more focused on being a celebrity doctor than mundane clinical work. You have to stay on top of him as he will forget simple facts about what meds you are on. Oddly for someone who fashions themselves a “coach” he can be very black and white or bluntly directive at times.
Refuses to get blood pressure down in line with current recommendations. Condescending. Avoid, especially if you have an aneurysm.
