Excellent- extremely knowledgeable, well read and up to date on NIH research based articles. Come prepared with questions written out. Expect to wait - bring work. Yet realize the wait is because Dr Wheeless takes time with his patients and will take more even time with patients if needed. He is worth the time and expertise if you need to wait. Thinks outside of the box with surgery as the last option. Very knowledgeable about nutrition and bone health for orthopedic issues. Tests for vitamins related to bone formation and strength for years before surgery which most orthopedics don't even currently do. Will advocate for each patient. A very generous and kind hearted brilliant Doctor!
