Dr. Richard Cain specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery. He treats patients with a spectrum of conditions including extremity fractures, sport related injuries and general musculoskeletal issues. His specific clinical interests include shoulder replacement, complex shoulder reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability, and upper extremity trauma. Prior to joining BayCare, Dr. Cain completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He also served as a chief resident at the University of South Florida’s Orthopaedic Residency Program in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Cain is active in shoulder and elbow research and has authored a number of publications and book chapters, including presenting at regional and national conferences.
