Dr. Ambareen Salam is a well-respected, board-certified physician who has been in private practice at Medical City Hospital since 1998. Dr. Salam graduated from The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio and completed both her internship and residency#N#there before being appointed chief medical resident of the residency program. She enjoyed this faculty position which gave her the opportunity to teach medical students and residents for 1 year. Dr. Salam then moved to Dallas and started her private practice in 1998. Dr. Salam's philosophy: "As an internist and a primary care physician, I believe that patients benefit greatly from having a doctor who knows them thoroughly and is there to guide them through the many stages in life. I enjoy taking care of both men and women from the ages of 18 and older.
