Where is Dr Marcal?

Dr. Marcal received his BA from Hamilton College, and his MD from Columbia University, NYC. His Internal Medicine training included Internship, Residency, and Chief Residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, NYC. He then completed a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital, CT. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and in Internal Medicine. Dr. Marcal started his private practice in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Stoneham in 1982. He served as Chief of Gastroenterology at New England Memorial Hospital in Stoneham from 1985-1990, and as Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine from 1990-1995. He joined Digestive Health Associates in 2000, and still holds a teaching position at Boston University School of Medicine, with medical students rotating into his practice all year. He was named "Best in Boston" by Boston Magazine for Internal Medicine (1999) and for Gastroenterology (2000, 2001, 2011-2015, 2017). Dr Marcal also speaks Cantonese, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. His hobbies include road cycling in good weather and skiing in the winter.

Where did Dr Siegenberg go to medical school?

Dr Siegenberg is originally from South Africa, where he went to medical school at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. He moved to Boston to further his studies and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center.

Where is Tianna from?

Tianna is originally from the North Shore, but did her schooling in Worcester, MA. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Worcester Polytechnic Institute before completing her Master's of Physician Assistant Studies at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University. She has come here with a 4 year background in gastroenterology. She thoroughly enjoys the outpatient setting, where she can develop a bond with her patients. For Tianna, she finds great importance in a good patient-provider relationship and open communication. Her training is in all gastroenterology disorders including; irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), GERD, liver disease and colon cancer screening.
