Heis a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He received his training at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He has held positions as Acting-Chief of Endocrinology at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in East Orange and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, a member of the Endocrine Society and of the American Diabetes Association. Dr. Wiesen is chief of staff of the Endocrinology Department at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is also faculty at Holy Name Medical Center and St Mary's Hospital in New Jersey. Howard Rosen, M.D., F.A.C.E., E.C.N.U, is a native of Philadelphia and received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and graduated from Penn State School of Medicine. He received his residency training at University of Maryland Hospital and his Fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Michigan before joining this practice in 1989. Dr. Rosen is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology / Metabolism. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He has achieved Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound and is the first and one of the few physicians in this region to accomplish this voluntary certification. He is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Medical Association, the American Diabetes Association and many additional professional societies. He is a frequent lecturer in our community on diabetes and endocrine topics and has participated in the research programs of the Heart of America Diabetes Research Foundation.
