When you do not have enough available funds on your Card to cover Card purchases or ATM withdrawals, we will decline the transaction and you will not be subject to overdraft fees. There is no overdraft/credit feature on your Account.

Fees paid to plasma donors are considered taxable income. However, BioLife is not required to issue IRS form 1099's.

Are plasma donations reported to IRS?

While not all plasma centers will send out a 1099-MISC, this lack on their part does not exempt you from paying your taxes. Instead, you will need to list your plasma donation earnings on Line 21 of your Schedule 1 Form 1040, or you can have our accountant help you with your tax preparations.

Can I transfer money from my plasma card to my bank account?

Yes. You can transfer money directly from your card to your bank account by logging in to the cardholder website and clicking on the "Access $" tab. Your bank account number and routing number are required to complete a transfer (you can find this information on a personal check or by contacting your bank).
