As a new patient, there are some things you need to know. Before you make an appointment, read our information for new patients to learn about our services and what health documentation you’ll need to be treated.
Before you come visit us, you need to know where we are and when we’re open, right?
For many medical appointments, health and wellness services, and CAPS Now appointments for first-time clients, we have a convenient online scheduling option. You must have an IU username and password to use this service.
In order to complete pre-appointment paperwork, we ask that you arrive at the Student Health Center 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
If you schedule online, make sure you’re scheduling the correct service. Need to see a medical provider? You’ll want an appointment with the medical clinic. Interested in getting nutrition information? Health and Wellness is your destination. Got something in your eye? Our eye clinic is here for you. You get the picture.
You can schedule medical, wellness services, virtual visits, and first-time CAPS visits online. Visit our online scheduler for same-day or future appointments.
Visit the patient portal to see your records, appointment history, and more.
Almost out of your meds? Refill online—and you can even have your Rx mailed to your home.
Need to know when we’re open? Not sure how to get here? Check out our hours and location info.
Learn what your health fee covers, what standard treatments cost, and whether we take your health insurance.
Looking for a particular provider, counselor, or other Student Health Center staff? Check our directory.
You can contact the Sexual Assault Crisis Service (SACS) any time of day or night. We’re here to help. Talk to a trained counselor at 812-855-8900.
How should I prepare for my virtual visit? If you are using a mobile device or a laptop, set it on a surface so it is stationary and at eye level. This makes it easier for your provider to see you. Make sure your mobile device or computer is charged or plugged in.
What is a virtual visit? A virtual visit (also known as telehealth, telemedicine, e-visit) is a live video or phone appointment with your health care provider using your computer, smartphone, or tablet.
