How do I contact the patient portal support team?

We are offering tutoring, executive function coaching, and academic enrichment. Please email wlee@cpeclinic.com for more information. We know mental health can seem challenging. It doesn’t need to be. We are group of professionals who are smart, very well-trained, compassionate and are committed to helping people.

Why do parents need more support?

Sometimes parents need more support and coaching because some children and adolescents are more prone to challenging behaviors and are tougher to manage. While programs exist for different age/challenges, in this training, parents learn to help their children modulate their behavior to meet expectations and enjoy much more positive interactions as a family.

How to treat OCD?

A special kind of therapy called Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is the treatment of choice for OCD. CBT involves the use of two evidence-based techniques: Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (ERP) and Cognitive Therapy (CT). With Exposure and Response Prevention, the therapist gradually exposes the person to the situations that trigger his or her obsessions and compulsions. Over time, the person learns to respond differently to these triggers, leading to a decrease in the frequency of compulsions and the intensity of obsessions. OCD symptoms often become so mild that they’re easily ignored; sometimes they disappear.

What is individual therapy?

Individual therapy (sometimes called “psychotherapy” or “counseling”) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist. People seek therapy for a wide variety of reasons, from coping with major life challenges or childhood trauma, to dealing with depression or anxiety, to simply desiring personal growth and greater self-knowledge.

What is family therapy?

Family therapy is a form of psychotherapy that seeks to reduce distress and conflict by improving the interactions between family members. This type of counseling views problems as patterns or systems that need adjusting, as opposed to viewing problems as residing in the person.

How long does it take to train working memory?

Working memory is critical for focusing, appropriately shutting out distractions, and for complex thinking. Improved working memory capacity generalizes to improved attention and impulse control. The training consists of computer-based training, using a Mac or PC includes, five weeks of training – 25 training sessions of 30-40 minutes each – with weekly coach calls with the psychologist. The computer based training is provided by COGMED.

Do any of the providers at CPE Clinic accept my health insurance?

All of the providers at CPE Clinic, LLC are out-of-network for all health insurance companies. Because everyone’s health insurance is a little different, we recommend that you call your provider about out-of-network benefits and reimbursement rates, which can vary.

How often do I need to see a provider for medication management?

Most new patients meet with the psychiatrist 6-10 times over the first year. Most patients who are doing well and require ongoing medication monitoring will meet with the psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner about 4 times per year for medication management.

Are the psychiatrists accepting new patients? How quickly can I get a new patient appointment?

The psychiatrists are accepting new patients and can sometimes see new patients in acute crisis the next day after contacting the office, pending availability. Usually, new patients are seen within 3-10 days of contacting the office.

All of our providers are taking new patients. Some they can see new patients in acute crisis the next day after contacting the office, pending availability. Usually, new patients are seen within 3-10 days of contacting the office.

What do I need to bring with me to the first appointment?

For new patient visits, we request that you bring hard copy of any previous psychiatric, psychological, or neurological evaluations as well as any medications currently prescribed or previously prescribed. You will be sent practice forms to sign electronically.

Will the providers consult with my pediatrician or other mental health care provider?

With written permission (e.g. consent) from the patient or patient’s guardian, all of our providers will correspond with appropriate health care providers, school personnel, agencies, etc.

Typically, the ADOS-2 Testing: $3000 – for comprehensive test and report – 90791 ( intake ), 96101 ( testing by the psychologist ), 96103 ( testing with a computer ), and 90846 ( family therapy without the patient) and 90847 ( family therapy with the patient)

What are the goals of the PBMC in 2021?

After a review of baseline data and benchmarks from over 300 hospitals nationally, the PBMC has set system goals for 3 well-established RBC transfusion metrics in 2021: Increase the number of units transfused at a hemoglobin below 7 g/dL, decrease the number of units transfused at a hemoglobin above 8 g/dL, and increase the number of single-unit RBC transfusions. The PBMC is excited to move forward on this work and the positive outcomes it can bring to our patients. Your support and engagement will be key to the success of this important patient safety and quality initiative.
