What is a sick visit?

During your visit, your provider may need to treat a new medical issue or a chronic problem that has changed. If that occurs, this part of the visit is called a Sick Visit and may result in additional services being billed to your insurance.

What is Hadley Family Medicine?

Cooley Dickinson Medical Group’s Hadley Family Medicine is dedicated to advancing the health of people from nine days old to 90-nine years old. Certified as a Level 2 patient-centered medical home, the practice includes 10providers who all strive to deliver compassionate, comprehensive primary care to you and your family.

Does Hadley Family Medicine do blood work?

Hadley Family Medicine is happy to offer on-site bloodwork/lab services to all regular patients. The practice is close to several pharmacies and all primary providers are able to write prescriptions. In some situations, certain providers may make home visits to regular patients whose physical or logistical challenges make it impossible for them to receive care in the office.

Does insurance pay for sick visits?

Most insurance companies will pay for Sick Visit evaluations, tests, and treatments, but your insurance plan may require you to pay a co-payment, deductible, and/or co-insurance payment for the Sick Visit, even when it is done during the same appointment as your Preventive Health Exam, Medicare Annual Wellness Visit, or Welcome to Medicare Visit.
