Providence Mayor Jorge O. Elorza today announced that all Providence water parks will have extended hours Wednesday, August 25 through Friday, August 27 to help residents keep cool with extreme high temperatures forecasted. On Wednesday through Friday, all Providence water parks will remain open until 7pm.
Due to inclement weather, trash and recycling pick-up will be delayed one day. Residents whose usual garbage collection day is Monday (8/23) will have their trash and recycling picked up on Tuesday (8/24). The one-day trash and recycling delay will continue throughout the week.
