How do I request medical records from other CHKD providers?

CHKD's Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centers are busy, but not operating at full capacity. We are still accepting patients at all locations, including the main hospital. For guidance on treatment and testing for COVID-19, please read more.

Masking Still Required

Even though we have made progress in the battle against COVID-19, the CDC and VDH still require that everyone wear a mask inside healthcare facilities. That includes all CHKD Health System locations, including our health centers and physician practices. As always, children under the age of 2 and those who cannot wear a mask safely are exempt.

Mindfulness Coaching

A new mindfulness coaching program at CHKD is helping young athletes deal with anxiety associated with athletics. Practicing mindfulness regularly can help improve overall performance and contribute to emotional well-being over time. Breach Notification

CHKD is notifying individuals of a breach caused by an email phishing scam that allowed unauthorized access to a small number of employee email accounts that held patient information. CHKD is committed to protecting its patients’ information and has taken steps to help prevent something like this from happening in the future.

Where does my health information come from?

All of the information in the MyKDH Patient Portal comes from your KDH Electronic Health Record (EHR). This ensures that you have access to the most accurate, up-to-date information.

What information do I need to enroll in MyKDH?

You must have an email address on file with us. When you register for any services at King's Daughters' Health (inpatient or outpatient), give the registration clerk the valid email address that you would like to use. During the self-enrollment process, you will be asked for the following:

Can my family access my health information on MyKDH?

You may give family members, such as parents or healthcare proxies, access to your portal information.

Is my information safe?

Yes. MyKDH passwords are encrypted, and URLs are rewritten so that they cannot be copied and pasted. You and your authorized family members are the only ones who can access your MyKDH portal information. There is also a timeout feature built into the software.
