What is a child's physician?

Children’s Physicians is a Patient-Centered Medical Home. This means we focus care on the health needs of the whole child, including medical, behavioral, and social. We offer behavioral health services in our offices to address issues involving anxiety, depression, potty training, and discipline. We also offer medical social workers and nurse case managers who advocate for patients and families, as well as identify and overcome barriers to good health.

Kathleen Cairnes is a South Florida native who started her undergraduate studies at Florida State University and completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Florida Atlantic University. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a background in neonatal intensive care and joined Children's Physicians in 2015. She lives in West Palm Beach with her husband, John, who is a local Civil Engineer and their two young daughters. Christine Dowling, A.R.N.P., has practiced at Children's Physicians since 1994. She earned her Master of Nursing degree from the University of Florida in 1993, with a specialty in pediatrics. She is Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has additional training as a lactation consultant. She has been a clinical preceptor for Florida International University and Florida Atlantic University Nurse Practitioner students. Her practice philosophy focuses on preventative health care and promoting healthy lifestyles. Christine lives in Jupiter with her husband and two children.

Who is Tracy Lockett?

She has over twenty years of experience in Pediatrics. She joined Children's Physicians in 2005 and works primarily in the Palm City office. She has been married for 14 years to her husband, Del, and they have four amazing young boys. In her spare time, she enjoys boating, fishing and cooking.

Where does Micael live?

Micael is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and volunteers in her community. She resides in Port St Lucie with her husband, who is a local Civil Engineer, and their two sons. Micael is caring, compassionate, and committed to the wellness of your children.

Where is Cristin from?

Cristin is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who grew up in Vero Beach, Florida. She graduated with her BSHS from the University of South Florida, BSN from the University of Miami, and MSN from Nova Southeastern University. She joins our practice with over four years of pediatric experience at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital.

Where is Amanda from?

Amanda is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. As a native of Florida, she graduated from PBSC with her AAS in Nursing in 2007. She worked at Saint Mary's Medical Center in the Pediatric Emergency Room as an RN for 6 years while she obtained her BSN from FAU in 2012, followed by her MSN at UF in 2014 (Go Gators!!). She has worked locally as a Pediatric NP for 5 years.

How do I handle multiple children in my family?

Sign into the portal with the account you already created for yourself (as a family member of a patient).

I can only see billing information for my 18 year old. Can I see their health information too?

At 18, the portal defaults to “privacy” mode. If you’d like to see your teenager’s health information, they will need to sign up for a portal account and you would need to ask them to share their information with you. You should not sign up to the portal as if you are, yourself, your teenager.

How do I change my notification preferences, so I can choose how to be alerted to new messages and information?

From the Home screen, click on the name in the upper right, and then click “my profile.”

Changes Due to Covid-19

Starting April 12, 2021 we will resume our sick walk in hours Mon-Fri 7:30am-9:30am for sick established patients ONLY. With Scheduled office hours Monday-Friday 9:00 am-3pm until further notice.

Open Hours

Saturday: 9:30 am – 12:00pm We will stay as long as we have established sick patients needing us! No new patients. Call us starting at 8:30 am to book a SAME DAY SICK appointment.

For our Established Patients, you can now request appointment times via your Patient Portal.

Walk-in Hours

Walk-in Hours: Monday through Friday between 7:30 am – 9:30 am for established patients (no new patients), and no appointment is necessary for these emergency ill visits. We happily guarantee same day sick/ill appointments!

Drs Breen, Schultz, and Tsai use Vanderbilt diagnostic assessment tools for the treatment and medical management of children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This tool is web based for ease and convenience of communication between the providers and families.
