Logging in to Your Patient Portal Account Print

Your username and password are set by you when you register online or activate your Patient Portal account via an email invitation. It may be your email address or another username that is unique within your provider's patient or client population.

Unable to Authorize your Account

If, upon submitting your information to request a username reminder or a password reset, you receive an email that says "Unable to Authorize your Account," that means that some of the information that you provided did not match what is on file with your provider's office, or that your Patient Portal access is disabled for your account with your provider's office.

Not Receiving Email

If, within 15-20 minutes of submitting your information to request a username reminder or password reset, you do not see the requested email, please check your spam/ junk mail folder and/ or search your email for an email coming from do-not-reply@md-hq.com.

Default Payment Method

You can mark a card as the default/preferred payment option for that patient from the Billing Info tab shown in the preceding image earlier. Simply click on the star icon next to the stored card, as shown in the example below. The starred payment method will be used for any automated recurring payments (like subscriptions or payment plans).

Patients can Securely Add a Payment Method on the Patient Portal

You can also direct patients to securely add or update their payment method on file on the Invoices & Payments page of the Patient Portal.

If Bills are Paid by Another Patient

If you have designated that a patient's bills are paid by another patient, that makes any saved payment methods in the payor's chart available to add payments in the payee's chart.
