Can you use a cell phone in a hospital?

Yes. For the comfort and convenience of our patients, cell phone use is permitted; however, please refrain from using cell phones in patient rooms, waiting areas, elevators, or other areas that might disrupt patients. WiFi is available at CentraState Medical Center in certain areas throughout the hospital.

No registration required, but please bring your insurance card and fill out forms prior to arrival. If you are receiving a second dose or a third/booster dose, bring your CDC vaccine card.

COVID-19 Vaccine for Immunocompromised Individuals

CentraState Healthcare System is offering the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to some moderately or severly immunocompromised individuals who are eligible to receive a third dose, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Third doses for these individuals will be available at our walk-in events.

Arriving prepared will ease the check-in process when you arrive. Please print and fill out the consent form and the pre-vaccination checklist questionnaire and bring with you.

What is Centrastate lab?

CentraState’s Laboratory offices provide routine and STAT (urgent) testing for outpatients, inpatients, and patients using the Emergency Department or the Family Medicine Center. Our laboratories are staffed by board-certified pathologists, certified medical technologists and medical technicians, histotechnicians, phlebotomists, clerks, and transcriptionists. Services are provided for all ages, from infants through seniors.

What happens if you don't have insurance for Centrastate?

If you do not have insurance or if services from CentraState’s Lab are not covered by your insurer, you will be billed for your lab work.

Where is the Outpatient Lab located?

Located on the ground floor of the medical center, the Outpatient Lab is easily accessible from the outpatient parking lot, as well as from the hospital’s Donna O’Donnell Medical Arts Building, where free valet parking is available to all patients receiving services at CentraState.

Do you need an appointment for a freehold lab?

Appointment are not required for most lab services. For your convenience, our Freehold Outpatient Lab offers online scheduling for most outpatient lab services. Walk-ins are also welcome. Appointments are required for glucose tolerance tests, lactose tolerance tests, and semen analysis.
