Arthroscopy is great for the patient because the arthroscope and surgical equipment is very small, which often means smaller incisions, less pain, less joint stiffness, and a shorter recovery. Our skilled team of surgeons can tell you if arthroscopy is right for you.
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is an orthopedic device such as a brace, sling, cold therapy unit or other rehabilitation tools.
Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure that surgeons use to visualize, diagnose, and treat problems inside a joint without making a large incision into the joint. A small camera, called an arthroscope, is inserted through a small opening into the joint. The surgeon can then view pictures of the joint on a video monitor.
ORTHOPEDIC SERVICES. Orthopedics, or orthopedic services, treat the musculoskeletal system. This includes your bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. They impact people regardless of age, physical condition, health.
The reason for doing this is to replace damaged parts so that the joint now moves in a normal, healthy way. Hip and knee replacements are the most commonly performed joint replacements, but replacement surgery can also be performed on other joints like your hip, knee, and shoulder.
Although all sports medicine specialists do not have surgical training, our sports medicine specialists are trained orthopedic surgeons who have completed a fellowship in sports medicine.
We can help. At Carolina Orthopedics, we can help treat the root cause of these issues and help you be your best self. Pain isn’t normal.
Our patients are seen by our orthopedic surgeons for many reasons — knee pain, shoulder pain, hip impingement, sports injuries, arthritis, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome and more. Our physicians and staff have expertise in many areas.
