What are CareFirst MedPlus and CareFirst diversified benefits?

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is the shared business name of CareFirst of Maryland, Inc. and Group Hospitalization and Medical Services, Inc. CareFirst BlueChoice, Inc., an affiliate company, also offers health benefit products and services on this site.

Who are CareFirst BlueChoice and the Dental Network?

Use of this portal does not confirm that you are actively enrolled in CareFirst Community Health Plan Maryland (CareFirst CHPMD). Please call our Member Services Department at 1-800-730-8530 to confirm enrollment status. Portal access may take up to 5-7 business days.

Eligibility and Benefits

You can search for a Member to check their Eligibility and Benefits information directly from the CareFirst Direct home page. We recommend checking eligibility and benefits every visit to ensure accuracy. To view the information you need, please be sure to have the membership ID and patient’s date of birth.

General Health Benefits Search

When you select the General Health Benefits option you will be provided a list of commonly searched categories.

Select Different Benefit Search

To begin a ‘Select Different Benefit’ search, click on the dropdown to select the Benefit Category you need.

Adding to Benefit List

You can create a list of up to 15 benefits that you frequently search for to save time.

System Maintenance

iCentric Benefits Summary, CareFirst Direct Eligibility/Benefits and Claims Status will be unavailable Sun, 11/14 from 1AM to 7PM for FEP,NASCO and Out of Area members.
