What is it like to work at patient first?

I really enjoyed traditional primary care, but Patient First provided the opportunity to continue primary care in a setting that also offered more acute problems and the ability to take care of individuals in a more emergent setting. Now that I’m here, I have a hard time imagining practicing in any other environment.

What is patient first?

Patient First has been providing Occupational Health services for employers and employees since 1981. Our physicians and physician assistants are complemented by a fully-trained staff of nurses and technologists. Walk-in convenience, a wide range of on-site services, and close attention to return-to-work policies make Patient First a convenient, cost-effective option for pre-employment and worker's compensation services.

What time does telehealth visit?

Telehealth. See a Patient First physician from the comfort of your home. Telehealth visits are available from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, for certain conditions including cough, chest congestion, skin infections, sore throat, and fever. Many prescription refills are also available via Telehealth visits.

What board do you have to be a physician?

Physicians must be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Pediatrics, or the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

How many years of experience do you need to become a physician assistant?

Physician assistants must be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and have 3 years of clinical experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care.

Part-Time Special

Part-Time Special employees are center employees who work a minimum of three weekends (both Saturday & Sunday) a month. Part-time special employees also work holidays when needed and also may have the opportunity to work shifts during the week.

Part-Time employees are center employees who work every other weekend (both Saturday & Sunday). Part-time employees also work holidays when needed and also may have the opportunity to work shifts during the week.

PRN (On-Call)

PRN employees are center employees who work a minimum of one weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) each month. PRN employees also work holidays when needed and also may have the opportunity to work shifts during the week.

Flexipool

Flexipool employees are center employees who work days, evenings, weekends and holidays when hours are available with no guarantee of scheduled hours. These positions fill temporary staffing needs.
