Can a support person accompany a patient to their room?

For adult patients who are admitted to the hospital, support persons may accompany the patient to their room during that unit's visiting hours. If they are admitted outside of visiting hours, the support person must return during visiting hours.

How old do you have to be to visit a nursing home?

All visitors must be 18 years of age or older. Exceptions may be made by the nurse manager/nurse supervisor. Visitors will be provided with a face mask upon entry to the facility and must wear the mask at all times while inside the facility. Masks should only be removed to eat or drink.

Do you have to wear a mask during a visit?

Visitors will have to go through the screening process upon arrival and be required to wear a mask throughout their visit. In end-of-life or palliative care circumstances, families and loved ones will be required to contact the nursing unit directly to arrange for visitation.

Can you visit a hospital in person?

If you are unable to comply, you will not be permitted an in-person visit in the hospital. Visitors cannot accompany patients to tests outside of their room. Each patient has the right to determine who may and may not visit, whether it be a spouse, domestic partner, family member, friend or other support person.

How many people are allowed at Oishei Children's Hospital?

Pediatric inpatients at Oishei Children's Hospital are allowed up to two (2) designated support person s considered part of the care team. A total of four (4) persons are allowed at the bedside at any given time

Office Locations

Dr. Ashish Bhatia is board certified in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardio electrophysiology. In addition to his duties at Great Lakes Cardiovascular, Dr. Bhatia is the director of the Atrial Fibrillation Center at Buffalo General Hospital.
