Why is it important to have a relationship with a family physician?

Relationships with Family Physicians are important to ensure you are receiving well-coordinated, comprehensive care by someone who knows you best. You will hear us calling them a PCP—Primary Care Provider.

What is a PA in medical?

A PA is a nationally certified and state-licensed medical professional. PAs practice medicine on health care teams with physicians and other providers. They often function as a primary care provider to follow your care.

Do all patients qualify for care coordination services?

Not all patients qualify for care coordination services, which typically, are reserved for the highest risk patients. The Care Coordinators will call you after an Emergency Department visit or hospital stay to see what needs you have following that event. They may also maintain contact with you to help monitor and implement the care plan made for you by your PCP.

Is BRHC a full service lab?

BRHC offers a full-service laboratory. With 90% of tests completed in-house, your provider is assured of getting timely results. Laboratory results are also available to you on our Patient Portal.

Can BRHC patients use radiology?

Similarly, all BRHC and non-BRHC patients may use the radiology services at BRHC. Please bring your physician’s order.

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or would like to request a test, call us before coming to our facility. Dial 207-469-7371 and press option 6.

PREPARING FOR HEALTHCARE NEEDS

Be sure you have over-the-counter medicines and medical supplies (like tissues) to treat fever and other symptoms. Most people will be able to recover from the coronavirus at home. The CDC recommends getting a 90-day supply of your medications when able.
