Terry Bruneau is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years experience in women's health care. She is a graduate of Crouse School of Nursing and Community General Hospital's Nurse Practitioner Program. Terry is a wife and mother of 2 adult daughters. In her spare time she enjoys wild crafting, gardening and metaphysical studies. She is an herbalist, a reflexologist and has many years of experience working with and teaching a variety of energy healing modalities. Her goal is to empower those she works with to find their own well being by supporting whatever path they choose. Terry works out of the Liverpool office.
Janet Ortolani, CNM, has been a midwife since 2002, serving women in the New York metropolitan area and Long Island until relocating to the Syracuse area in 2009. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook University and her Midwifery Certificate from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. Janet’s experience in Women’s Health began almost twenty years ago as a La Leche League Leader, Childbirth Educator, and Doula. Her experiences with childbearing women and families have served to reinforce her philosophies about the power of the birthing process and the impact childbirth has on a woman’s personal development. Through an emphasis on patient education and a holistic approach to patient care, Janet endeavors to encourage women to strive for their full potential.
Graduate of the University of Manitoba Medical School in 1994, Dr Bruneau practice consists of Family Practice, Nursing Home, Emergency Room, Inpatient and Oncology care. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, snowmobiling and martial arts.
Dr Selena Papetti is from St Boniface and graduated from St Boniface University before going to medical school at the University of Manitoba. She continued on to the bilingual family medicine residency training program at U of M. She had never been to Lac du Bonnet until she was in fourth year medical school and did an elective in town for two weeks. After graduation she moved to Seven Sisters Falls and set up her practice in Lac du Bonnet. Dr Papetti has taken an active role in teaching medical students as she believes that exposure to the community will lead to recruitment and retention of physicians to the area.
Prescription refills require follow up appointments. These appointments are neccesary to ensure the medication is still required and safe to use. It is also a time to discuss other possible treatments as they become available over time .
