What is Brio billing?

Brio is providing a new electronic medical record and billing system that utilizes a tool called a Patient Portal. The Patient Portal allows you to see key parts of your medical record, communicate with your care team, and participate in your care like never before.

What time does 911 call?

For all medical emergencies, call 911. Our regular office hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday and 7:00am - 1:45pm on Fridays. After hours, one of our providers is on call. Please call our office to speak with our nurse triage line.

What is proof of insurance?

Payment Policy. PROOF OF INSURANCE: You must provide a copy of your current health insurance card as proof of insurance. If you fail to provide us with the correct insurance information at the time of service, you may be responsible for the balance of your claim.

What is a health insurance policy?

Your health insurance policy is a contract between you and your health insurance company. It is an agreement requiring your health insurance company to pay for covered medical care as long as you pay your portion of the policy. Does Brio accept insurance?

Brio accepts most private insurance plans . Please be aware that your co-pay or deductible is due at the time of service. It is your responsibility to inform us of changes with your insurance plan. Although we file claims for you, you are still responsible for your bill, regardless of the amount your insurance pays, except in cases of pre-negotiated insurance agreements and where legally prohibited.

What is the ABI test?

This test is done by measuring blood pressure at the ankle and in the arm while a person is at rest. The ankle-brachial index (ABI) result is used to predict the severity of peripheral arterial disease (PAD).

What is the normal resting ankle brachial index?

Normal: A normal resting ankle-brachial index is 1.0 to 1.4. This means that your blood pressure at your ankle is the same or greater than the pressure at your arm, and suggests that you do not have significant narrowing or blockage of blood flow.

How long does it take to do an EKG?

EKGs are performed in house and should only take 10 minutes of your time. EKGs measure the electrical activity of your heart by making small trace marks on a piece of paper. Your heart contains 4 chambers and the EKG can test the to make sure that each chamber is functioning properly.

How often is a spirometry test performed?

Spirometry tests are performed in house and typically repeated 3 times while the patient is in the office. A spirometry test can be used to measure the effectiveness of your breathing, as well as assessing asthma and COPD. This test also shows how well your lungs function while inhaling and exhaling and measures the amount of air you exhale as well as how quickly.

What is the purpose of lipidology?

Lipidology refers to the management of lipids to stabilize plaque and regress atherosclerosis in order to detect and prevent cardiovascular disease. A variety of tests help answer three fundamental questions that enable your physician to target and manage cholesterol abnormalities and inflammation in developing cardiovascular disease. The chosen regimen will likely include a nutrition and exercise plan for most, coupled with medication for the moderate-high risk patients.
