What is an urgent condition?

An urgent condition is an illness or injury that requires prompt attention but does not require the emergency room. An emergency condition is one that is life or limb threatening if not immediately treated.

Do emergency departments treat patients first?

Emergency departments treat patients with the most serious conditions first, so patients with less urgent needs will often wait longer to see a doctor. In most cases, patients at urgent care centers are treated on a first come, first served basis.

I checked in online and when I arrived, I was seen at that expected time. The checkin process on-site was pleasant and fast. Once in the exam room I felt that I was listened to and and examined thoroughly. Checkout was also easy. Professional and courteous staff.

Very proffesional, informative and curtious staff. Came in the office with bad chest congestion and shortness of breath with low oxygen level. After receiving a breathing treatment and Steriods i feel 100% better. Thanks to everyone involved with my care, you guys are Awesome.

They are very well set up and have had all the necessary equipment to thoroughly and effectively treat me every time I have gone in. More importantly the staff are very kind and make me feel at ease, no matter what level of emergency I am dealing with. I highly recommend this place if you want to be treated like a person and not a number. A+++

Kind, courteous and quick! I’ve been twice, once when extremely busy, and once when more quiet.. Although I had to wait a bit the first time, it was completely appropriate for the number of folks waiting.

I heavily rely on Baystate urgent care when I’m not feeling well. I run a home daycare so I can’t afford to be out of the office long, Baystate urgent care always gets me back on my feet. Highly recommend all of their wonderful doctors.
