How long does it take to get test results from Baystate?

How will I get my test results? At your testing appointment, please ask how and when you will receive your results. If you are a current Baystate Health patient, you will usually receive your test results in 2-3 days through the MyBaystate patient portal. Please do not call 413-794-TEST for your test results, as this is a scheduling line only.

The department is staffed by pathologists and scientists with expertise in all areas of clinical pathology as well as molecular pathology and genetics. We are accredited by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of the American Pathologists (CAP).

Our Facilities

Our facilities at Baystate Medical Center include a large open laboratory with modern instrumentation, supporting state-of-the-art techniques in all of our specialties. We also have separate laboratories for transfusion medicine, immunology, molecular pathology, and genetics. Our laboratories are equipped for automation and robotics.

How to get tested for COVID-19

Contact your primary care provider for a referral. If you don’t have a primary care provider, our urgent care providers can refer for testing.

Where can I get tested for coronavirus in Massachusetts?

We offer PCR (nasal swab) diagnostic testing for COVID-19 at the 5 locations listed below, as well as antigen testing at Baystate Health Urgent Care locations. Please do not walk in to our locations to be tested if you do not have an appointment.

Test Results

You will receive your test results in 3-4 days through the MyBaystate patient portal. If you do not have a MyBaystate account, sign up now. You can also contact the provider who ordered the test for you, but please wait 4 days before calling.
