What is Auburn Community Hospital?

At Auburn Community Hospital, we strive to provide compassionate and comprehensive women’s health care by delivering specialized programs with individualized care. Our Obstetrics Program includes all aspects of maternity care, including pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum care. Our Gynecological Program focuses on the unique needs of women beyond obstetrics. Both programs are administered in collaboration with a woman’s primary care provider.

What is childbirth education?

Childbirth education classes are offered to help parents prepare physically and mentally for childbirth and parenting, and to acquaint them with our staff and facilities. Childbirth educators, IBCLC certified lactation consultants and experienced nurses teach the classes.

Biography

Dr. Calzolaio is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed medical school at the State University of New York at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY and his residency at Upstate Hospital, Syracuse, NY. Dr. Calzolaio is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Biography

Dr. MacDonald grew up in Skaneateles, New York. She comes to Auburn after practicing in Rochester at ParkWest Women’s Health. Her special interests are in obstetrics, contraception, family planning and minimally invasive surgery. Dr.
