Asian Human Services Family Health Center (AHSFHC) was incorporated in 2001 as an independent not for profit 501 (c) 3 to increase access to primary care for underserved communities on Chicago’s north side. In collaboration with Asian Human Services a large Asian based social services organization, in February of 2002, AHSFHC began operating a small two-room clinic to provide Ob/Gyn and family practice-based care to immigrant and refugee families. AHSFHC grew from those humble beginnings and opened its doors as a full-time Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) on March 1, 2004 in the West Ridge neighborhood.

Clinical services include primary care, women’s health care, pediatrics, adult and pediatric dental care all delivered in a linguistically and culturally appropriate manner.

AHS Family Health Center (AHSFHC) is your Medical Home which stands for Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH). We have achieved National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Level 2 PCMH recognition at all four of our clinic sites.

Does AHS Family Health Center have a bilingual staff?

AHS Family Health Center has highly trained medical and dental providers on staff. All our providers are bilingual and speak a variety of languages which allows patients access to a provider who can speak their language, if our providers or staff do not speak the language we also have access to a variety of interpreters who will be able to assist our patients at no cost to the patient.
