Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates, P.C., is the largest Rheumatology practice in the Washington, D.C., area. Since 1975, the group has served this community and has been dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of persons with disorders of the joints, muscles, tendons, and other connective tissue.

What is a Rheumatologist?

Rheumatologists are physicians who, following 4 years of medical school and 3 years in an internal medicine residency, go on to complete an extra 2-3 years of fellowship training focused on the management of chronic musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions.

The Center for Rheumatology and Bone Research is a division of Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates, PC, a 25-physician rheumatology practice. The Center was developed to give our patients access to the most recent therapies for the treatment of rheumatic diseases through participation in clinical trials.

What are the requirements for virtual visits?

Requirements for a Virtual Visit. Virtual appointments must be conducted using a device that has both a microphone and a camera. This can be your smartphone, an iPad or tablet, laptop computer or a desktop computer. Most desktop computers don’t come with a camera and microphone so please check yours before scheduling your appointment.

What do you do the day before a telehealth appointment?

The day before your appointment, you will receive an email and/or text message from us to confirm your virtual visit and pay your copay or co-insurance, if applicable. The day of your appointment, you will receive another email and/or text from us indicating it is time for your telehealth visit.
