Amherst Medical Associates shares the 2nd floor at 170 University Drive with Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Women’s Health, and the Cooley lab; an open MRI machine and the latest equipment for digital mammography are right downstairs.
Per the NYSDOH and the CDC, DO NOT VISIT BUT PLEASE CALL Amherst Medical Associates if you have respiratory symptoms including fever, shortness of breath, cough, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea. Your physician will direct you on your care.
Our primary care practice is a favorite in the Amherst area because families know they’ll be treated with warmth and respect. Visits are comfortable, relaxed engagements with friendly providers who are invested in your well-being and want you to feel better.
After your first appointment, call 413-577-5101 for scheduling, or book online using the UMass Patient Portal: Login and click “Appts,” then from the Clinic menu select “UHS Nursing,” and for Reason select “Allergy Serum Injection.” 13. How do I schedule STI testing on the portal?
A message sent through the Patient Portal is more secure than email.
The Patient Portal is monitored during Health Center business hours only. Every effort is made to answer messages by the following business day. You should not expect to receive a response to a Patient Portal message on weekends, holidays, or any other time the Health Center is closed. If you need immediate medical advice when the Health Center is closed, call our main number (413-542-2267) and follow the prompts to speak with an advice nurse. If you need urgent medical care, please call Campus Police at 413-542-2111.
One way to confirm if you already have an account on our portal or not would be to use the "Forgot Password" link. Enter in your email address. It needs to match what we have listed in our database for you. Typically this would be your UMass email address if you are a student or employee.
Sometimes when people forget their username or password the main screen just sits there and spins and doesn’t give you an error message of ‘invalid password’ or something like that. Pain! We know! Try this…click on the ‘Login’ button…scroll down…enter your username and password from this screen. If it’s entered incorrectly, you will at least get an error message. If that is the case…use the ‘Forgot Password’ link and an email will be sent to you from MedicatAutoResponse@medicat.com. Check your spam folder if you can’t find it.
You can use the Patient Portal to request that UHS send your medical records to you, another medical provider/facility/institution, or insurance company. Login to your account and click the "Forms" tab. Under Section A: UHS Forms, click "Release of Information UHS.". Complete and submit the Release of Information form.
At VMG, you select a primary care practitioner as your first stop for any preventative or acute care. Your primary care practitioner will, over time, get to know you and your family, your preferences and values for medical care, and be in the best position to provide education, support, encouragement, and care whenever necessary.
This is a group of concerned patients and their supporters who will meet quarterly to provide us with ideas, advice, and feedback about the care we provide. It is our hope that with your involvement and engagement, we can make the experience of getting care at VMG easier, safer, and more useful for you and those you love. If you are interested in serving, please click on the Patient and Family Advisory Council tab in the purple banner on the top of our web page vmgma.com or email pfac@vmgma.com.
Finally, as of October 1, 2021, all laboratory and pathology results performed at Valley Medical Group laboratories will be made available to you on the portal at the same time they are released to your provider. We think this information belongs to you and expect this will improve how quickly you get your results, and will serve as a safeguard to be sure you know what is going on with your health.
