Yes! Once you’ve been credentialed under Alma's Tax ID, you can move all your eligible Optum & Aetna clients into Alma's insurance program. You’ll get access to our enhanced rates for all of your clients, and we'll take care of all the admin so you can focus on your practice. And because your clients won’t need to create an account with Alma to continue seeing you, it's easy to transition them over.

Is Alma insurance a requirement?from helloalma.com

We designed Alma’s insurance program to be easy and financially rewarding for our members, but joining the program is not a requirement. We believe in giving our members full autonomy over their practice, and that includes determining which payment options you accept and which clients you choose to see.

It’s also the provider’s responsibility to find a supervisor for their practice. Please note that Alma does not support providers in finding a supervisor — that is the provider’s responsibility. It is not required that your supervisor joins Alma.

No. We charge a monthly fee for membership that gives you access to all of Alma’s benefits. The income from your cash-pay clients stays with you.

How to enroll in the patient portal?

To enroll in the patient portal, you must receive services at one of our locations. To create an account, you may self-enroll here. Alternatively, you may contact the location where you received care and tell them you would like to make an account. Registration requires an email and a valid ID.

How are messages sent to your provider's office transferred?

All messages sent to your provider’s office are transferred via a secure server compliant with HIPAA standards.

What is the RWJBarnabas portal?

The RWJBarnabas Health Patient Portal is a free service that provides convenient access to your personal health care information in a secure online environment. With the patient portal, you can view select test results, access your medical records and track your health information.

Can you access read only medical records?

At the hospital patient portal, you can access read-only medical information through our secure server. This includes educational materials, information on your current medications, allergies, immunizations, health issues, and lab test results. All information is pulled directly from your electronic health records. Due to the sensitive nature of radiology and pathology test results, these are not available on the patient portal and must be obtained through the hospital’s Health Information Department.

Is RWJBarnabas Health a centralized portal?

RWJBarnabas Health is in the process transitioning all of our hospitals to a centralized patient portal called MyChart where all hospitals’ records will eventually be contained within one system for your convenience. Please be assured that you will always have access to your medical records.

South Branch Family Practice is the family care practice of Julie Ann Juliano, M.D. and Ruby Halper-Erkkila, M.D., both experienced family health practitioners . The focus of our practice is to provide your family with complete healthcare services. We offer routine and preventative care services including: physical exams and immunizations, illness and injury treatment, chronic disease management and specialist referrals.

Is South Branch Family Practice covered by insurance?

Emergency Note: There is Always a doctor on call for South Branch Family Practice. Please call the office first, BEFORE you go to any urgent care center. These centers are not covered by most insurances and you will have to pay out of pocket.

What age do you have to be to disclose medical information?

For Patients Who Are Minors: Due to federal and state confidentiality laws, patients who are between the ages of 14 and 17 are not required to disclose certain types of medical information to parents/legal guardians.

Can a parent/guardian be a portal authorized representative?

For this reason, we find it necessary to ask our patients in this age group to complete a consent form naming a parent/guardian as their portal authorized representative.
