The Center is conveniently located in the Alexandria Professional Center (4660 Kenmore Avenue, Ste 100). The Center meets or exceeds State and Joint Commission standards in construction, design, policies and procedures, fire protection, safety and handicap accessibility. Your care will be provided by a skilled team of gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, nurses and technicians, all licensed/certified by the state of Virginia and relevant specialty boards. The Center provides excellent patient care using state-of-the-art technology for ambulatory gastrointestinal endoscopy services.

Please follow your discharge instructions regarding diet, medication and activity. A nurse will call you within 24-72 hours after your procedure to see how you are feeling. If at any time you experience problems, please notify your physician. The phone number will be on your discharge instructions.
You will receive a bill from your physician’s office for professional services , and a separate bill from The Center for use of the facility. If you had anesthesia and/or biopsies were taken, you will also receive a bill from the pathology lab and/or the anesthesiologist for their professional services.

Your physician can visualize the lining on a television monitor while you are comfortably sedated and can use the finding of the procedure to help with diagnosis and treatment of a number of diseases affecting the colon.
