What to bring to a doctor's appointment?

Be sure to bring any paperwork your doctor gave you, such as test results or your medical history, and a list of medications you are taking. Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing. Upon arrival, you will change into a gown and will be asked to remove contact lenses, dentures and any prosthesis.

How long do you have to wait to drive after a syringe?

For some occupations (e.g. pilot, commercial vehicle driver, etc.) a minimum of 24 hours may be recommended.

Can you drive home after a syringe?

Notify your physician of any change in your health, such as a cold, fever or sore throat. For your safety, please arrange for an adult to drive you home after your procedure. You will not be allowed to walk, take a bus, or drive yourself home.

Daryl McClendon, MD, Jeffrey Molloy, MD, Austin Nelson, MD, and Martin P. Kaszubowski, MD are board certified adult gastroenterologists who specialize in disorders of the digestive tract including, but not limited to, gastroesophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, peptic ulcer disease, diseases of the liver, bile duct and pancreas. They are also skilled endoscopists who perform many diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including colon cancer screening exams at the Alaska Digestive Center, Providence Alaska Medical Center and Alaska Regional Hospital and Surgery Center of Wasilla. Our office is on the Creekside Campus of Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage and we also have a satellite office in Eagle River.
