What's new at Adena health system?

To help our busy friends and families, Adena Health System is trying to give patients a little time back with the convenience of the Adena Clinic Based Patient Portal, now with easy online co-payment acceptance. The Adena Clinic Based Patient Portal allows patients access to their secure health information conveniently at any time.

How do I sign up for the Adena patient portal?

To start using the Adena Patient Portal, call your Adena Primary Care Provider to help you get set-up or visit Adena.org/Portal-Signup. Or, for Patient Portal Assistance, call 740-542-4YOU (4968).

Is Adena Regional Medical Center licensed in Ohio?

Our Maternity and Mental Health units are licensed by the State of Ohio. Adena Regional Medical Center, along with Adena Health System, is fully accredited by the The Joint Commission, a U.S.-based healthcare accrediting body.

Does Adena provide interpretive services?

If you have limited ability in speaking English, Adena can provide interpretive services. Our interpreters can provide communication with health care providers through most foreign languages and American sign language. If these services are needed, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance.

What to Bring

Please only pack personal items that you will need during your hospital stay, like a robe or reading material. It’s also helpful for your caregivers to have a complete list of medications you’re taking.

Food and Nutrition

Good nutrition is the cornerstone to maintaining good health and recovering from illness. Your diet depends on your medical condition and may change throughout your stay from a regular heart healthy diet to meals meant to control blood sugar for diabetics.

Outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy

If you need advice on how to best manage your diet for diabetes, cardiac disease, eating disorder, renal disease, cancer, malnutrition or sports nutrition, Adena can provide nutrition therapy. To schedule an appointment for nutrition therapy, call 740-779-7711.

Mail Services

Incoming mail for our patients is delivered daily. If you are discharged and receive mail, we will forward to your home address. If you want to send mail during your stay, our staff can place stamped mail in our mailroom. Books of stamps or singles are available in the gift shop.

Chapel and Pastoral Care
