Susan started Activekidz in 2001, out of a convictions to be a help to society. She has seen hundreds of children in the practice feels that they have blessed her way beyond what she can do for them.
To provide state of the art, compassionate therapy services for patients who have a variety of orthopedic, neurological, and developmental needs, with a focus on functional outcomes.

Kristie attended Keuka College in upstate New York where she received her Bachelors in Occupational Science and Masters in Occupational Therapy. She has clinical experience with both geriatrics and pediatrics in a variety of skilled settings including skilled nursing facilities, inpatient and outpatient hospital, psychiatric facilities, NICU/PICU/PCICU and the school system. Kristie enjoys the outdoors, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She has recently relocated to the Athens area and is very excited to be a part of the Activekidz family!
MHS, OTR/L, C/NDT. Becky has a bachelors degree from the University of Georgia and a masters in occupational therapy from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She has a heart for kids of all ages and loves her occupation.
Daneille graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 1993 from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. After graduation she returned to her home state of GA, settling in Atlanta. She worked at South Fulton Medical Center where she was able to get a wide range of experience including in-patient, out-patient, rehabilitation and In the NICU. Her work in the NICU was her first exposure to pediatrics. She then began to work as a traveling therapist where she continued to gain pediatric experience including in-patient rehab at Scottish Rite Hospital (now CHOA) and home health pediatrics. She was soon hired on by the home health company and focused full time on pediatrics.
Taylor is a recent graduate of Augusta University with a Master’s in Occupational Therapy. Prior to obtaining her Master’s Degree, she attended Georgia Southern University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. Taylor grew up in Augusta, GA and this is where she began to fall in love with occupational therapy. Taylor started shadowing from a very young age at a pediatric clinic where her mom worked. She has experience in outpatient pediatrics and adults, the school system, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing facilities, and working with kids with traumatic brain injuries at camp TBI. She loves to spend time with her big family, enjoys going to the gym, and loves to tailgate for football games. She is looking forward to the new opportunities Athens has to offer and can’t wait to work with some amazing kiddos!
Rena is new to the state of Georgia, having just moved here from Oklahoma. She graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a BS degree in Occupational Therapy in Lubbock, TX. After graduation, Rena and her husband moved to Shanghai, China, where she had the opportunity to volunteer at Shanghai Children’s Medical Center to assist this hospital in setting up an OT department, as well as treating private clients there. Upon returning to the U.S, she has worked in pediatric outpatient and home-based therapy for 9 years in both Texas and Oklahoma. Rena has experience working with a variety of diagnoses and treatment strategies.
Lauren integrates respect, compassion, fun and clinical knowledge to serve people of all ages with a wide variety of communication abilities and needs. In her free time, you can find her hiking, reading or hanging out with her wonderful husband and 3 awesome kids. Lauren also loves popcorn, iced coffee and watching 80s/90s sitcoms.
Theresa has been practicing PT for 22 years. She moved to Georgia 4 years ago and has had the privilege of working with patients as new as a few hours old and as old as 100 years!! Theresa has 2 amazing children, Jessica and Jake, and she has recently re-married to a wonderful man named Scott whom she met at Conyers Vineyard Church.
