Vital signs measure your body’s basic functions, such as your temperature and blood pressure. Lab tests are performed on samples of your blood, urine or other tissues, and generate lab results, such as your cholesterol level. Most lab results are displayed in the portal, but there are some exceptions.
Patients cannot request renewals for prescriptions received in the hospital; patients who see a provider who participates in the Emory BLUE Patient Portal in the hospital and in his/her clinic can request renewals through that provider via the portal. If you are a patient on the Emory GOLD Patient Portal, you can:
Most lab results are displayed in the portal, but there are some exceptions. On the Emory BLUE Patient Portal, screening tests used to initially diagnose HIV are not displayed. Tests used to diagnose a genetic condition, such as a disorder of blood clotting in your family, are not displayed in the portal.
Note if you have a hospital stay: Patients cannot communicate with providers who they see only in the hospital setting; patients who see a provider who participates in the Emory BLUE Patient Portal in the hospital and in his/her clinic can communicate with him/her via the portal.
