How do you set up a patient portal?

With My Seton Health, you have access to:

  • A Summary of treatment during your hospital stay
  • A list of active medications
  • Your hospital discharge instructions
  • Lab and vital sign results

How secure is your patient portal?

Yes we have a patient portal. You can schedule appointments, access lab results, request refills, view medical records, and send messages directly to your provider. You can learn more here.

Single Sign-On

You can now use a single set of credentials to access all of your personal Athena patient portal accounts, even if you have an athena health account with a health system or doctor's office outside of UT Health Austin. This grants you access to and management of all of your associated online accounts using just one email and password.

Step 3: Select the purple log-in button on the UT Health Austin patient portal screen

The log-in screen may look a little different, but no new email or password is needed. You will use your current email and password to activate your athena health account. You must complete a one-time setup, which includes verifying a recovery phone number to better protect your account. You will also be prompted to confirm your user demographics.

Can a provider answer all of your questions electronically?

Providers may not be able to answer all of your questions electronically and may request that you schedule an appointment. This will allow for a more accurate diagnosis to determine the best treatment plan for your condition. If you're a current patient, you have a MyChart account.
