At your appointment you will receive an Exact Radiology Patient ID card. This will provide you with access to your images and reports. For instant access to your reports log in here. What is an X-ray?

An X-ray is a quick procedure that is commonly used as a means of looking at the human body. Some X-rays are performed in the standing position and others are taken lying down. Whilst X-rays themselves are painless, in some instances, you may experience slight discomfort caused by the position you are required to be placed in during the examination.

How long does it take to make an appointment with a referral?

Complete the online form and upload your referral. Our friendly booking team will call you to make an appointment within 2 hours ( during business hours) of receiving your referral.

An Ultrasound is a medical test that uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images from the inside of your body. It’s also known as sonography. The technology is similar to that used by sonar and radar, which help the military detect planes and ships.

A Computerised Tomography (CT) Scan or CAT Scan uses X-rays to create detailed cross sectional images of the body. CT scanning is an excellent medical tool used to detect a range of disorders and can be used to scan the majority of body parts.

Can you walk in for X-rays?

Don’t forget general X-rays, you may simply walk in and no preparation is required.

Can you get a referral form for a dentist?

This may have been a pink Exact Radiology referral form, or another clinic. We accept all referrals so not to worry if it’s not one of ours.
